37 Weeks

How far along? 37 Weeks. Eeeeek. Really I think it's 37.5... Ahh this is getting too close!
Sleep: Sleep is good. Ish. A lot better than it will be in a few weeks. My mind is always going a million miles an hour, so it takes a while to get it to stop and get to sleep now. And then I wake up uncomfortable and all that stuff. But! I still can make it through the whole night without peeing! And I stay pretty hydrated, so that's really really nice.
Best moment this week: Mike took me to see Frozen!! He is seriously the sweetest husband everrrr. I loved the movie. I am going to write a separate blog post about Mike and him taking me. He is the best best BEST. Also, The Young Women in our ward came over Wednesday night and caroled and they made a baby blanket for the baby! I can't believe how sweet they are! I love the blanket. Here are two pictures of it. So stinking cute. I love the young women in our ward.

Miss Anything? What do I not miss?! Well, I do not miss how my hair was before. I'm loving my hair still. Thick and it grows fast!
Movement: Yessss. He is quite move-y.
Food cravings: Everything sounds good! Last night in a span of 5 minutes I wanted Cafe Rio, IHOP, and a pizza. Mmm.
Labor Signs: No. I get Braxton Hicks sometimes and like little contractions, but nothing painful or regular or anything.
Belly Button in or out? Out. I think it will stay like that till I have him. Sad.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I don't know! Sometimes I'm happy, but sometimes I'm so worried and stressed! Sometimes I'm both. I feel crazy sometimes.
Looking forward to: Christmas and seeing family! Yay! This will be our last Christmas as just Mike and I, it is crazy to think that!

Other We got a lot of stuff done yesterday. Mike was a huge huge help! We got the curtains up in the baby's room, and we put shelves in our kitchen pantry closet thing. The closet looks so much nicer, and there is so much room now! Here is what the curtains and the closet looks like. The baby's room still needs some straightening, ignore the mess please.

New shelves in the closet. I love it. We have so much room in there now instead of everything squished at the bottom.

And I made 2 baby wraps. I got fabric at Joann's (holy cow, the regulars at Joann's are crazy. They know their way around like none other and have carts full of material and here I am... so confused! I spent an hour there trying to find just one type of fabric.) The baby wraps were super super easy.
Here is the site I used to make them: http://bestmilehighmom.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/mile-high-momday-diy-baby-wrap-carrier.html

I ended up with 2, at $15 each. Scoore! So much better than buying one. Here is me in my baby wrap. Without the baby and still pregnant obviously.

Thank you Mike for taking a picture before I said okay. I didn't need to put this up, but I figured I never post pictures head on. I'm always sideways.

Ta daaaa! 37 weeks and counting. Please ignore my gross swollen hand/wrist.

36 Weeks

How far along? 36 Weeks. My. Goodness.
Sleep: Ehhh... I never feel like I can get enough sleep. I am nearly always tired now! No energy. I hate the numb hands at night still.
Best moment this week: We had our annual Medsker family Nativity Christmas party thing tonight. That was really fun.

Miss Anything? My jeans. And rock climbing.
Movement: Yep yep!
Food cravings: Chocolate things.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Out. Yuck.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Stressed, I still have so much to do before little man comes.
Looking forward to: A half day of PTO on Tuesday and the doctor's appointment.

Other: Hmmm. The past few days my feet have been unbelievably swollen. That sucks. The other day Mike took the wrong ring to work (I have been wearing one of his that is a tiny too small) and I was so excited because this day the ring was fitting so loosely, so I thought my fingers had magically stopped being swollen and I could wear MY ring! I was seriously so excited. Then Mike texted and said he had taken the wrong ring. Haha! I was disappointed, but I thought it was even more funny that I didn't even notice the change because the rings totally look different. Ha!

Here is my picture. Yay.

35 Weeks

How far along? 35 weeks! Time is going so so fast.
Stretch marks? Not any more than when I first got just a few :D
Sleep: Sleep is good. I'm waking up more often and having to roll over and am uncomfortable, but I still usually don't have to get up to pee. So I consider that a win.
Best moment this week: I honestly can't even remember what's gone on this week. It's been a blur. We did have a Dr's appointment, baby is sounding and growing good. I'm down to an appointment every week now, so that is crazy!

Miss Anything? Tying my shoes. Wearing my normal clothes. I miss my clothes so much. Switching laundry without having to stand up and breathe. Rolling over without waking up at night. I could go on.
Movement: This question is getting a bit old I think. Yes, he is moving. He loves to kick the right side of my ribcage and every morning in the shower he pushes up against my left side when I have the water hitting my belly. It's kind of funny because my belly goes all lopsided. Haha! He gets the hiccups at least once a day, but usually it's two times. I wonder if he will get them that much after he's born!
Food cravings: A nice big pizza sounds good right now. Just pepperoni. Nothing fancy. And Mountain Dew of course.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Out. Blah. Not super far out, but it's definitely not flat anymore.
Happy or Moody most of the time: These days I don't know. I'm usually happy, but a good deal of the time I'm stressed about getting things done and how much things are going to change and what if my water breaks when I'm out in public and what if we don't make it to the hospital or what if I can't get the carseat in the car right. Things like that constantly haunt my thoughts now.
Looking forward to: The appointment this week and going to see The Hobbit on Saturday! I can't wait!

Other: I have no energy anymore. I feel so so lazy, and I hate it. And it doesn't help that some things take so much more effort now! I feel like I am grunting or making noises all day. I feel like this is a complainy blog post. Sorry. My pregnancy has been great and it's been so fun to feel him move and get ready for him. People ask me a lot now if I'm ready to be done. And sometimes I am, like when my back is killing me. But most of the time I don't feel like I'm miserable and "SO ready to be done." I don't mind it. Some things suck, but I feel really blessed to have been able to have a pregnancy with no complications. I've had a lot of friends that have had preemie babies, and I feel really blessed to have been able to be pregnant for this long. On a side note, I sometimes I can't wait for him to come because I want to see what he looks like! I can't wait for that!

Also, it was Mike's 30th birthday yesterday. I had a fun time giving him presents and taking him to dinner. Happy birthday Mike!!

No picture this week. I don't feel like posting a picture of me in sweats and an oversized t. Next week I'll post a picture.

34 Weeks

How far along? 34 big ones!
Stretch marks? Still the same, I'm pretty lucky!
Sleep: Lovin' my sleep. I still wake up with my hands numb though, and I've recently noticed getting out of bed in the morning my feet are tingly and a little numb.
Best moment this week: Thanksgiving! It was so great to see my family! I also got to see them Friday and Saturday! I loved every minute.

Miss Anything? Getting in and out of the car fast. Sitting up out of bed fast. I guess everything that I used to be able to do fast. Haha!
Movement: Yes! A bunch of family got to feel him this week, so that was really fun.
Food cravings: Eggnog. Mmmmmm eggnog!
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Progressing to out. Sad!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! I'm a bit moody or emotional though sometimes. And I cry really easily now.
Looking forward to: The Dr's appointment on Wednesday! Yay! And Mike's birthday on Saturday! He will be 30!

Other: This week was so great! Thursday was Thanksgiving, Friday I did a little Black Friday shopping with my parents and two of my brothers, and Saturday was a baby shower! I got some really nice gifts for the baby! I really think we are set for him to come, just waiting for him to grow a little more!

34 week belly. A few people have told my I look really good and tiny lately, so that makes me feel good because I feel so huge most of the time!

A sign in Ogden we happened upon. Too bad it was only up for Black Friday. I should have jumped on it!

11/24/2013

33 Weeks

How far along? 33 weeks.
Stretch marks? Still no new ones! And I don't have very many at all yet, yay!
Sleep: Sleep is still pretty good.
Best moment this week: Had a baby appointment on Friday. Our little guy is still doing good well and growing!

Miss Anything? A lot of things.
Movement: Yep yep.
Food cravings: Anything sweet really. Mostly chocolate things still, haha!
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Flat still.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy :D
Looking forward to: Thanksgiving with my family!! I can't wait to see them all!

Other: I don't think I have much "other" right now. This week was pretty normal. I went to The Chocolate with a friend on Friday night. That was really fun. It was fun to catch up, and the dessert was delicious. Last night we saw The Wolverine, it was good. And yesterday we bought tickets to The Hobbit on opening weekend. I seriously can't wait, I am so so excited.

I took this picture a few days ago, I thought I looked cute!! So 33 weeks, here we are.

Side note: here is a dog I saw waiting in a car. HAHA! Mike says he is saying "Yes, I'd like a Big Mac, a large fry, and a chocolate shake." I wish he had his paws on the wheel.

Delaware

This past week (Sunday through Wednesday) I had the opportunity to go to Delaware for work. We visited the branch and a call center we have. It was fun! Here are some pictures from the trip.

It was cold on Tuesday and Wednesday. Sunday and Monday were a bit chilly, but not too bad!

Sunday we flew into Philly and drove to the Rehoboth Beach, DE.  It was dark when we got there.

We ate at Dogfish Head Brewery.

A random lady asked to take a picture with her stuffed alligator. Of course we obliged.

We stopped in a candy store.

At our hotel there was a random huge container that said Breeding. It was a joke the whole trip.

Monday was my birthday. We went to Texas Roadhouse. I was SO lucky and got to sit on the saddle.

We also went to the casino! I won $16 dollars from a slot machine. Whoo hoo! I left with $7 more dollars than I went in with.

Virtual blackjack.

 Slots.
One thing I learned I liked about casinos is if you drink soda, it's free! So I filled up on sprite! Yum.

A day at the branch. Just flashing $30,000. No big deal.

Annnnd $100,000. That was pretty sweet! The smell of money was wafting into my nose. It smelled good.

Behind the bars in the branch. Trapped!

At Firebirds. I had a delishioius filet wrapped in bacon. It was SO SO good.

It was a fun trip!!

32 Weeks

How far along? 32 weeks. I am starting to slightly freak out that a baby is actually going to be here in just a few weeks!
Stretch marks? Nope! Just a few, and I haven't gotten any more! Hooray!
Sleep: Sleep is good. My hands still go numb at night, but I would rather have numb hands than have to get up and go to the bathroom. I hope I keep having to not go in the middle of the night.
Best moment this week: My sister, Sydney, came down Friday and stayed through Saturday afternoon! We had a great time talking, going to Ikea, and just hanging out!
Miss Anything? Getting in and out of the car normally without effort.
Movement: Yeppers. He has been abusing my left side and my right ribcage lately. It's so fun to feel his big movements, even if they hurt sometimes. I think I'll miss it once he's born.
Food cravings: Chocolate things. Last night I bought some Guittard milk chocolate chips and I was thinking "it would be so yummy just to eat this bag of them without cookies or anything." I didn't do it though. I just bought them and had those thoughts. Haha!
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Flat as a mat. My sister Sydney looked at it yesterday and was laughing how it looks funny being all flat like this.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Picking Mike up from the airport in an hour!!!!! I have missed him! Also the baby's doctor appointment this week. I always enjoy hearing his heartbeat.

Other:
- I don't miss morning sickness at all. I was thinking that this morning while brushing my teeth.

- This weekend I got a rug for the baby's room and installed the new light fixture and a dimmer light. We just need to get the curtains up and his room will be absolutely complete!
- Some days I am really excited about having a baby, others I am absolutely shocked we even  thought this was a good idea. This has been going on the whole pregnancy, so nothing new. But sometimes I'm just scared!
- I really appreciate when people tell me I look good or when I look tiny, because I feel like I look huge and feel like a huge beached whale.
- Mike is super sweet and takes care of me so well! He rubs my feet, back, and neck when I hurt. And he lets me wear one of his wedding bands because mine no longer fits me.
- The other day I had a minor panic attack because the baby hadn't moved for a few hours. I know the doctor says don't worry unless it's like 12 hours, but I was still really worried. Mike was in Portland and he was super sweet to talk to me on the phone while I drove home from class, and suggested I do a few things that usually gets the baby moving. He woke up and was moving, so I was relieved. I just got so worried, I don't know why! I'm sure he was just sleeping, but sometimes my brain just gets going and geez, I just jump to the worst conclusions. Everything is fine. I just overreacted.
- After my work trip to DE and then flying, my feet were so SWOLLEN! It was horrible, they hurt so bad. It took 2 days for the swelling to go down, and now they are just kind of swollen like they are all the time. My poor feet! Here is a picture of them. Obviously my Toms kept my toes and tops of my feel from swelling that much. Geez! Lol.

Here's 32 weeks.

Sydney and Waffle Cone.

Syd and I went to watch Ali's kids do BMX bike racing. It was so fun! Our allergies acted up, but it was totally worth it!

Josi and Luke got trophies!

9 Random Things About Me

I liked someone's FB status before I actually read the "If you want a number, then like my status." I just liked the status because I liked the random facts of said person! Anyway. I don't want to do that on Facebook, so I will write my random facts on my blog (shoutout to Megan because she did it first on her blog and I thought it was genius). I have numerous "Random Facts" posts about myself, so really you could go to one of those and learn more than you ever needed to know about me.

Alright. Let's see. 9 things about me.

  1. I love cuddling! Love love love it! Cuddling with Mike always puts me in a better mood, even if I'm super grumpy. Mike always cuddles me before we go to sleep, and that is even better than sleeping itself.
  2. I get extremely nervous talking to strangers. My hands get clammy.
  3. On my way back from Delaware on the plane I sat by a man who is an architect for building temples! I thought that was the coolest job ever! I had like a million questions to ask him, but I kept myself limited to about 10 questions because I didn't want to bother him too much while he was reading..
  4. I hate asking people for help! I would rather do something by myself and have it take longer than asking someone for help. I just hate inconveniencing people.
  5. I really like video games. Except I more like "adventure" video games than killing video games. Halo hardly holds my interest but I will play Zelda, Mario, DK, LBP, or Rayman for ages and ages!
  6. I get so excited for my birthday every year because A- I get mail and I LOVE getting mail and B- all of those annoying emails from IHOP, Chili's, Jamba, etc that I get every week all of a sudden become worth it because they are for free food!!
  7. I recently started writing my grandmother's cousin who lives in England. I have really enjoyed writing her and receiving pictures and a letter from her. When I got her letter a few weeks ago I could hardly stand how extremely excited I was!
  8. I enjoy school! I like learning! Except I don't enjoy the amount of time school takes up. I wish I had one of those time turners like Hermione Granger.
  9. I absolutely HATE the saying "agree to disagree". It bothers me so much when people say it!
And that is 9 random facts about me.

11/10/2013

31 Weeks

How far along? 31 weeks. Time is going after and faster and my to do list keeps getting longer.
Stretch marks? Still not many at all! I am lucky!
Sleep: Last night I didn't sleep well. But most nights I sleep okay. I wake up sometimes and my hand or hands are numb, but I still don't have to get up to go to the bathroom at all.
Best moment this week: Mike and I went and saw Thor 2 yesterday. That was fun. The baby was doing good at the last appointment.
Miss Anything? Bending down normal.
Movement: Yes. I wonder if he is more active or of he has just grown bigger so I feel him more easily. Yesterday night he was having a party in there. Mike got to feel him moving all over.
Food cravings: I am pretty content right now.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Flat. In he next few weeks I am sure it will transition to out.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Hopefully a good nights sleep tonight.
Other:
- I am in a hotel in Delaware right now. My very first business trip. I am with 3 other gals I work with it has been fun so far. We went to the coast and the Dog Fishhead Brewerry today. It has been a long day.
- The baby is moving a lot right now.
- Today the turbulence and landing was pretty rough in Philly. I ended up puking twice. Once in the bathroom, once in a barf bag. It was horrible. At least it was at the end of the flight and the people around me were very nice. And it didn't stink and it wasn't noticeable. At least that is what one of the ladies I am with said. She was in the row behind me.
- The pregnancy brain occasionally hits me now. I can't remember what I was doing sometimes!
- My feet and hands are more often swollen than not now. But not horribly. They just look puffy. My feet more than my hands.

Quick pregnancy shot. 31 and a half weeks.

11/01/2013

30 Weeks

How far along? 30 weeks. Holy cow!
Stretch marks? Not too many. Just a few.
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good I think. I'm really tired right now though, I'd like a nap.
Best moment this week: Halloween was fun. I enjoyed passing out candy. Mike is a super super sweet guy, I'll write more about that in "Other".
Miss Anything? Normal and not swollen feet/ankles/legs.
Movement: Yeppers. He is getting to be more active. It's not just kicks and hits now, it's him moving all over! Last night Mike got to feel him moving around, It was great! I have such a fun time now because when he's awake and moving I'll put my hand where he is moving and I'll push down a little and hold my hand there. Then it's like he doesn't like that, so he will wiggle or kick trying to move my hand. Haha!
Food cravings: Cookies. Any kind. Just some soft, moist cookies. Actually, my visiting teachers came over the other day and brought me some cookies (pumpkin chocolate chip) and they were SO delicious and moist! Yum! I ate them too quickly.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Flat as a mat. Mike gets a kick out of it.
Wedding rings on or off? I don't think I'll be wearing my ring for a while. I keep trying it on every few days, but it hasn't fit for a few weeks, so it probably won't for the foreseeable future.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: The weekend! Hooray! Going to be washing more baby clothes and stuff like that, yay!

Other:
- I eat a lot!
- Mike has given me quite a few foot rubs the past week. My feet have been swollen and sore!
- Today is 5 years from mine and Mike's first date. I totally spaced it, but Mike told me this morning. I love him! It melted my heart that he remembered.
- I dressed up Waffles for Halloween. She was Batdog. See below.
- The Boston Red Sox won the World Series! Whoo hoooo!
- Mike's beard is super impressive now.
- A few weeks back I wrote a letter to a relative in England. She wrote back and sent me pictures! I got it this week, it make my whole WEEK!

Crazy huge beard. I am now married to a mountain man.

 Waffles as Batdog! So cute.

My swollen little feet and ankles.. and legs.

30 weeks!

Our pumpkin for this year. Happy Halloween!
