29 Weeks

How far along? 29 weeks. Eeek!
Maternity clothes? Not all the time, but I'm wearing them more and more.
Stretch marks? Just a few still. I haven't gotten very many, so that's nice so far.
Sleep: Sleep has been okay this week. A few times I woke up feeling refreshed, and that was nice!!
Best moment this week: I had a ward baby shower and my mom and grandma came down for it. That was really fun. We got a lot of really cute baby things that I am excited about! Thank you everyone for coming and for the gifts! Now to write thank you cards!
Miss Anything? My jeans. Mountain Dew. Especially Livewire.
Movement: Yesssss, he moves a lot! It's getting more and more pronounced. My brothers felt him this weekend. Sometimes it's not just a quick kick or anything. It's like he's moving, and his leg or arm rubs the inside of me. It's fun to feel it on the inside of my belly and then feel it on my hand, too.
Food cravings: Chocolate milk.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Still flat.
Wedding rings on or off? Off still.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Finishing up the baby's room. I just need to put up curtains and a dimmer light in.

Other:
-I definitely don't miss morning sickness. I was thinking that the other day.
-On Monday I got a pedicure, it was so nice! My nails are super cute.
-Wednesday night I made a delicious trifle. See picture below.
-Wednesday I also had a dr.'s appt. I had to get a shot because of mine and Mike's blood types, but the baby seems to be doing good! The doctor said he's probably about 3 pounds in there now. I start having doctor's appointments every other week now, instead of every 4 weeks. We are getting close!
-And Friday I got my hair colored and cut, which was also really nice. My hair has been getting super SUPER thick, so it was nice to get it thinned. It feels like I have normal hair again!!
-Today I woke up with a horrible headache and a throbbing neck around 6:30. Mike got up and got me Tylenol. Then, I got up to get ready for church (a little late) and I was feeling okay, but after being up for a little, my headache hit hard again. So I got back in bed, Mike rubbed the peppermint essential oil on my neck, got me my body pillow, warmed up a rice neck thing, kissed me on my head, and said "I love you, you get some rest and text me when you are ready for breakfast." So sweet! I woke up around 11:30 and he got me breakfast. I feel bad for missing church, but man I haven't had a headache like that for a long time. I went downstairs with Mike and at like 3 my headache came back, so I went back up to bed. He came and gave me a neck rub and warmed up my neck thing again. Around 4:30 I woke up and felt better, and Mike got me some chocolate milk. Yum. He has been super super sweet today and taken care of me perfectly. I don't think I'll get a good nights sleep with how much I slept today, but I feel better!
-I hope the Red Sox win the World Series.
-My feet and hands are swollen at the end of the day now. Last night my mom rubbed oils on my feet and gave me a foot rub, it was so nice of her! Thanks mom!!

Here are pictures of my cute pedicure and my belly. Today my allergies have been really bad, so no face in the belly shot LOL.

My feet look a bit swollen. So sad!

Growing and growing.

An amazing PB cup trifle that I made.

Where some of the amazing trifle ended up after a dumb high schooler decided to not look and start running across the road. Idiot.

Cabinets

Well, my cabinets are done. It's about time. It only took forever. Seriously, it did. Once I restarted on the project it wasn't so bad getting it done. It took me like a year. Ugh. I should have done them sooner, but I was just dreading it! But they are done, and I love how they look!! Here are some pictures. I did have before pictures, but somehow they got erased, so no before pictures :( sad day.

Here is the only before-ish picture I have left, and it's when I'm putting on the first coat. I'm so sad all my others got deleted!

After the first coat on the doors.

Last coat on the doors.

Doors up and done!

New handles and hinges.

My front garden. Here are the pots I ended up getting. They aren't full yet, and I just took this picture then put them inside. I'll put them out next year.

We also replaced the ugly brass hinges on the linen closet thing. The left door isn't up yet, but we got them all replaced!

28 weeks

How far along? 28 weeks. Seriously, time is flying.
Total weight gain/loss: Enough.
Maternity clothes? Some.
Stretch marks? Just a few still.
Sleep: I don't feel like I ever get enough sleep now. I suppose I should get used to that feeling, haha!
Best moment this week: Finishing my cabinets. I'll put pictures of them in another blog post.
Miss Anything? Getting in and out of the car without any thought!
Movement: Yes, I love feeling him move! Sometimes he crowds my right side right under my lung, so I feel like I need to sit up tall to get a big breathe of air.
Food cravings: Brownies. And sugar cookies. It's been sweets lately. Mmm.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Still flat.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. It doesn't fit anymore. I've started to wear one of Mike's rings on my right hand middle finger. It's not as pretty as my ring, but I'm more comfortable having any type of ring on my hand. If I don't have one on it feels weird and I'm constantly thinking "Where is my ring?!"
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy usually. Getting more nervous, but still happy!
Looking forward to: Bedtime. Haha!

Other: I had a few things I wanted to add to my "Other" section, but now I can't remember them. Figures. If anyone wants to give me a foot rub and paint my toes, I will welcome it! Haha!

I actually thought I looked pretty good today, so here is a picture of the belly.

And just for comparison, here is 10 weeks ago at 18 weeks.

27 Weeks

How far along? 27 weeks! Into the 3rd trimester, woah!
Total weight gain/loss: Enough.
Maternity clothes? Mostly normal shirts, like 2/3 of the time maternity pants. I'm resisting.. even though they are comfy.
Stretch marks? Still just a few.
Sleep: Ehhhh. I've been tired lately, and it seems like I can never get enough sleep at night. Last night I kept waking up multiple times with my left arm numb, that was no fun.
Best moment this week: Having eggnog? That was a best. I restarted the cabinet project. It will be done tonight, hooray!! Pictures to come.
Miss Anything? Getting in and out of the car without any thought!
Movement: He is mostly active morning/early afternoon. A little in the evening.
Food cravings: I satisfied my eggnog and cinnamon roll craving this week, so that was good. Arby's raost beef sandwiches sound good right now.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Still flat.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. It doesn't fit anymore.. :(
Happy or Moody most of the time: Umm. I think this week I was pretty moody. Sorry Mike! I cried a lot for no reason. Today has been better.
Looking forward to: Looking down and seeing my feet!

Other: I haven't hated eating anything normal yet, but man things are like tripled in their goodness. Eggnog is even more amazing than it was last year. Chocolate it from heaven. I had a headache earlier, from my neck. As I was laying down m=Mike gave me a nice back rub, he is so sweet. I need to go get a pedicure. I can't reach my feet for long periods of time without my legs going numb so it's time for someone else to paint my toes :D

No picture this week. It's Saturday night, and boy do I look like it's a Saturday night.

26 weeks!

How far along? 26 weeks, I can't believe time is going by so fast! The very last week in the second trimester. Oh boy!

Total weight gain/loss: A normal amount.
Maternity clothes? Still mostly normal clothes, occasional maternity pants or tops.
Stretch marks? Not much progress here (yay). Just a few faint ones.
Sleep: Sleep is mostly good. I wake up a few times a night now for really no reason, but I usually get back to sleep pretty fast.
Best moment this week: Umm I think it was a pretty standard week. Nothing stands out as "best".
Miss Anything? Walking a normal speed. I feel like I'm starting to walk slower..
Movement: Yeppers. He is still a 'movin.
Food cravings: Chocolate. Still. Eggnog sounds REALLY good, too!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope nope nope.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Still flat.
Wedding rings on or off? Well my hands have been too swollen for the past 2 days for me to wear my ring. So sad!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy still. I don't think I have been super moody yet. I guess I should ask Mike this question for a more accurate answer.
Looking forward to: All my cute jeans fitting me again.

Other: Pretty sure I got a nice kick in the ribs the other day. I was slouching or something and he kicked, and man! My ribs didn't feel good. My back pain is more and more frequent and normal, which sucks. It's bearable though.

Here is a picture from this morning. Excuse the poofy hair, I hadn't pulled it back yet.

Giant Pumpkin Weigh In

Yesterday was a day Mike and I look forward to every year. It was the Giant Pumpkin Weigh In at Thanksgiving Point!

We have a friend that participates in growing a giant pumpkin every year, and a few years we found about about this weigh in and have been going ever since. I love it! It's so fun to see the huge pumpkins. Not to mention I love getting soft serve ice cream there. Mike and I split the biggest cone, and it's huuuuge. For only $2! Can't beat that! Anyway, this year was fun as always, but my mom and Syd came down and met us there. It was so fun to see them!

The pumpkins were pretty big this year, but no one came close to breaking the state record set two years ago. I think the record is 1600 pounds! This year there was also a giant pumpkin pie. They also had the usual assortment of huge gourds, watermelons, tomatoes, etc. So fun.

After the Weigh In we went to the Traverse Mountain outlets in Lehi really quickly. Syd wanted to see if she could find a coat. She found a really cute one! I love the Columbia outlet. If you ever need a coat, look at the Columbia Outlet. Mike and I both have coats from there which we like, and they have great prices.

After the outlets we ran home to change for the Relief Society broadcast. On my Relief Society announcement paper for the past few weeks it said it would be broadcasted at the stake center, so we drove over to the stake center. No one was there! So we drove to a different church by my house, and that one wasn't showing the broadcast either. I have no clue why it wasn't being shown at my stake center. Anyway, on the way to my house Syd and mom saw a church that had a lot of cars and so we went to that church and watched the broadcast. I felt bad getting in so late, and then there were only seats in the front so we had to walk up all the way and everyone was looking at us. I felt so bad interrupting! (Sorry mom and Syd!) Right before President Monson spoke (I loved his talk by the way, it was beautiful. He always speaks right to my heart. And I love how much he still loves his wife, it's so cute. Definitely something I strive for in my marriage) anyway, right before he spoke, Syd leaned over and said "Wow! This broadcast has gone so fast! We should be 20 minutes late every time!" I died. Ohhh my word. So funny.

After the broadcast we headed to Leatherby's. I dropped Syd off at the front to go stand in line to get us a table. Leatherby's is the happening place after church functions like that. So I went and parked the car with my mom. We walked up, and I feel like such a dummy, because I tripped over the curb! In front of a bunch of people waiting in line. Lovely. I hit my knee and hands pretty hard. I remember thinking "Nooo! Just don't hit the stomach!" on the way down. My knee got scuffed up, and I hurt my wrist a bit. My wrist is fine today but my knee is still sore. Anyway, my mom helped me up and I felt like crying for making a scene and falling and I was shaken up because that's the first time I had fallen like that since being pregnant and I was worried about the baby. But I didn't cry! We went in and found Syd and got a table. We ordered our ice cream and my mom had a list of questions like a million miles long about what the toppings were on two ice creams she was choosing from. Just kidding it wasn't a million miles long, but she did have a few questions! Our ice cream finally came and it was delicious. Mmm.

After ice cream we went back to my home and I tried to get the baby to move. He had moved a little during the broadcast and a tiny during dessert, but besides that he hadn't moved much. After I poked him for a while he started moving! He had some pretty big kicks. Syd and my mom both got to feel him so that was fun. After that, my mom and Syd had to leave. It was so fun having them come down for the day! I loved it!

25 weeks

How far along? 25 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: "No one asked you, Patrice!!"
Maternity clothes? I am falling in love with a maternity tank top I bought a little bit ago. It's so nice and long!!
Stretch marks? Not much progress here (yay). Just a few faint ones.
Sleep: Sleep is mostly good. Except for when Mike gets up around 5 and I roll over, then the baby thinks it's time for him to start kicking.
Best moment this week: Having my mom and sister come down on Saturday! We went to the Giant Pumpkin Weigh In, stopped by the outlet mall in Lehi, and went to the RS Broadcast. And to Leatherbys. Mmmm. Mike and I also had an appointment, it was nice to hear the baby's heartbeat.
Miss Anything? Not making small weird grunting noises when I am rolling over or something like that. Haha!
Movement: Yeppers. Syd and my mom got to feel him this weekend, so that was fun.
Food cravings: I figured I should write down all the cravings I've had since I've had him. This week it's been chocolate sauce, which was great because we went to Leatherby's last night. Anyway, this pregnancy I have had cravings for: baked potatoes, french bread and marinara sauce, garlic bread, watermelon, lime water, chocolate, chocolate shakes, really chocolate anything...
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not that I can think of!
Labor Signs: Nope!
Belly Button in or out? Not out, but not in. Let's say flat.
Wedding rings on or off? Depends. It's off right now. My hands are swollen sometimes.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy, but I'm starting to have mini freak outs more about the baby being here soon and all the things I need to get done.
Looking forward to: Being skinny again.

Other: I've had a few comments now about how my belly came out of no where and a lot more questions about when I'm due and the sex of the baby. It's fun now that people know it's a baby and I'm not just getting cubbs.

Here is one weekly picture.

Mike-ism

Mike: *Farts*
Me: *Waits a few seconds* EXCUSE YOU.
Mike: We make a pretty good team.
Me: Why?
Mike: Because if I forget to do anything, even as simple as excusing myself after a fart, you are there to cover for me.

24 Weeks

How far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Blah blah blah. Skipping this question.
Maternity clothes? Eh, a little. Still wearing my jeans with an elastic or belly band. I wore my first pair of maternity pants this week, they were fine. I hope no one else could tell I was wearing them.
Stretch marks? They are starting to come. Barely.
Sleep: Sleep is fine. I wake up a few times a night to roll over, or I wake up on my back and panic and think "I hope I wasn't on my back for too long!"
Best moment this week: My sister Aimee was in town for a training and I went out to dinner with her. We went to Texas Roadhouse. It was delish, as always.
Miss Anything? Tying my shoes without effort.
Movement: Yeppers. Mostly midmorning/early afternoon.
Food cravings: Chocolate shakes. Or chocolate sauce for ice cream. I think I might make some, just because it sounds SO good. Mmmm...
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.
Have you started to show yet: Oh yeah. He's there. I should probably get rid of this question soon, because it will be like that for a while.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Progressing to out. Ugh.
Wedding rings on or off? Depends. It's off right now. My hands are swollen sometimes.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy happy happy.
Looking forward to: Our appointment this coming week. Also the RS Broadcast and having my mom and Sydney come down. And having Leatherby's after the broadcast. And also the Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off.

Other: Ummm... I can't really think of anything. It's weird planning things for the future, because the baby will be here. Like we got tickets to go see Brian Regan in February. My mom asked if we would need a babysitter (thanks mom!) so it's just weird thinking about things like that. It's also weird to think we are nearing the third trimester. Just a few more weeks. Time is going by way too fast.

Here's the ultrasound pictures like 3 weeks too late. No pictures of me today. I got a lot of ultrasound pictures! I got more than I'm putting up, but the ones I'm not putting up are basically like these, he just moved a little or it was zoomed in a little more, or just a duplicate shot.

Here's his face. Little skeleton face! I told Mike he could have been on Pirates of the Caribbean.

Profile shot. Cute little guy.

Another profile.

Sucking his thumb. He must get bored in there. I would be.

I think this was one of the first shots we got, and he was resting. He rests like Mike. Gotta get that arm up by the face!

Little baby arm.

Bottom of his foot. I got a shot of his other foot, but it's not very clear or good. But he does have two feet.

A leg!

The other leg! He has two legs!

And he is still a boy.

And I think that was my last ultrasound. It will be exciting to see him when he comes!
